Julie has always pursued work that incorporates her passion for the environment, love of agriculture and helping people and groups achieve their potential. After college she worked for Project U.S.E, an outdoor experiential education program working under the guidance of Everest mountaineer Jamling Norgay. She then joined the first ever class of AmeriCorps through the Student Conservation Association working on conservation projects throughout the Monadnock region. She continued to bring experiential learning to the mental health and affordable housing world designing innovative programs that helped empower marginalized people and youth. She is passionate about building healthy local food systems and supporting the success of our local farms. She began transitioning Stonewall to regenerative systems when she started as the Director in 2015. She is a graduate of Antioch New England Graduate School’s Organization and Management program where she studied system’s thinking and organizational development. She has trained in Holistic Management by the Savory Institute, including at the Africa Center for Holistic Management in Zimbabwe, uses that knowledge to assist in managing the grazing program at Stonewall Farm. In addition to helping with farm chores at Stonewall, she enjoys growing on her 20 acre property in Nelson, NH with her family.
