Remembering Clara Frechette

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our Operations Manager, Clara Frechette. Clara was the heart and steady hand behind so much of what makes Stonewall Farm what it is today. She lived and breathed this farm; its people, its animals, its land, and its future. Her dedication, work ethic, and deep care for our mission shaped our daily operations in ways that can never fully be measured.

Clara worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, from payroll and planning to vendor relationships and long-term growth. She approached every challenge with intelligence, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right for the farm.

But Clara was more than her professional excellence; she was a friend and a source of strength for so many of us. She was the person we often turned to when we didn’t know something or needed something: an answer, a contact, tools, Tupperware, or medicine. Somehow, Clara always had what was needed. She loved the animals fiercely, carrying treats in her pockets, her car, and her office, and would often come to the farm on her days off just to visit them and share a snack. Her generosity knew no bounds.

Clara gave so much of herself to this farm and to everyone who walked through its doors. Stonewall Farm will not be the same without her steady presence and the many laughs she shared with all of us. Clara will be deeply missed by our team and our extended farm community. As we move forward, we do so with immense gratitude for the foundation she helped build and the love she poured into this place. Stonewall Farm stands stronger because of her, and her legacy lives on in every corner of the farm.

We ask for patience and kindness as we navigate this transition. We invite those who knew Clara to share memories, stories, or photos with us at [email protected] as we honor her life and the incredible impact she had on all of us.

We are planning a celebration of life at the farm and will share details once they are finalized.

Thank you for holding our farm community, Clara’s family, and one another with care during this time of loss.
