15th Annual Art Auction and Gala

 

 

This year the Gala and Art Auction will be held on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.

All proceeds from the auction benefit Stonewall Farm’s mission. This fun and lively event includes delicious food, drinks and the chance to bid on art from some of the regions best artists. In addition to art, rare services such as a Knife Sharpening skill Class by Allen Raymond, Flight Class from Monadnock Aviation, privately catered dinners and more are offered as part of the live bidding. Bidding begins at 7:00 PM.

The Art Exhibition is open from March 16th through March 30th from 10 AM to 4 PM Monday through Saturday.

Raffle Painting Prize, “Morning Fog,” by artist Carol Gobin.

Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25 and all proceeds support Stonewall Farm’s educational mission.  Artist Carol Gobin has donated this year’s painting for the raffle titled, “Morning Fog.” It is an oil on canvas 18″ X 36″ painting valued at $1700. ARTSISTS! Stonewall Farm invites you to enter our 15th Annual Juried Art Opening and Auction. Please read the Call for Artists 2018 brochure that includes information on the Rules of Submission and Artists’ Compensation. Submissions will be accepted on March 9th and 10th. Pieces will be juried on March 11th.

 

 

 

 

Sap Gathering Contest

Families across the region come each year to enjoy this unique and traditional New England event. Teams consist of two draft horses hitched to a sap sled, a teamster, and two “sap runners”.  They race to collect all of the sap buckets on the course while being judged on the teamster’s command of the horses.  All of the sap buckets and lids must be properly placed back on the trees and the team must cross the finish line on the sled.  When the team completes the course the amount of sap in the sled’s tank is measured and their score is tallied based on their finishing time, amount collected, and deductions taken for any uncollected buckets, or horse/teamster judged infractions.

The event highlights not only the state’s important maple syrup industry, but also celebrates New Hampshire’s rich farm heritage.  Farm staff will be hard at work in our sugar house demonstrating how sap becomes syrup, and handing out free samples, an added feature to a fun family day.

Hot food and beverages are available for purchase and the Farm’s barns and store are open to all visitors. This year the event will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017! Check back for more details as we approach the day of the event.

Admission is $5 per person children 5 and under are free. THERE IS NO PARKING AT STONEWALL FARM THE DAY OF THE EVENT. Visitors must park at Keene High School’s Alumni Field on Arch Street in Keene and take the free shuttle buses to the farm. Food, maple syrup and ice cream will be available for sale as well as other farm and local food products.

Dancing of the Ladies

 

Date Announced! May 12th, 2018  at 8:30 AM!

Every year, around the beginning of May, when the pastures are ready for grazing, the cows are let out onto the fields after the long winter. Hundreds of spectators gather to watch the ladies dance as they leave the barn. The ladies kick up their heels dancing and prancing. After, everyone heads over to the Learning Center for breakfast. While you are here, check out our plant sale and farm store well stocked with cheese, produce and other farm products!

Thanksgiving Farm Fare

 

2018 Farm Fare will be held on Friday, November 16th from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, November 17th from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Keep your Thanksgiving celebration local by shopping for everything you will need to make a deliciously memorable feast and more at Farm Fare, an event to be held at Stonewall Farm in Keene, NH on November 18th and 19th. Grace your table with items from area farms and specialty food producers who will be selling locally raised meats and produce, breads and stuffing mixes, berries, appetizers, wine and beer, desserts, condiments and rubs, and herbs.Farm Fare will also feature collections of crafts and other handmade items perfect to give as hostess gifts or to get a jump on other seasonal giving.

Stonewall Farm’s picturesque setting and beautiful timber frame facility offers a unique day of holiday shopping combined with an opportunity for outdoor exploration, all within a quaint New England setting sure to put visitors in the holiday spirit. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase from vendors such as CC&D’s Kitchen Market! Hayrides on Saturday for $5 per person. Scavenger hunt, lawn games and children’s crafts are available free of charge!

In addition to weddings, Stonewall Farm regularly hosts a variety of private events, such as corporate retreats, conferences, anniversary parties, proms, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, class reunions, memorial services, and company meetings.

Our main banquet room can accommodate small meetings of 5 people to large celebrations of 150. The banquet room features a working field-stone fireplace, beautiful post and beam architecture, and amazing views of the property. Additionally, we offer several different bar service options and friendly, professional bartenders to serve any type of event.

We now offer birthday parties year round!

COWabunga Party!

Members: $75 for 15 children for 45 minute program

Non-members: $100 for 15 children for 45 minute program

Celebrate your child’s birthday by meeting our award-winning dairy cows! We will begin the event with a short trek to the dairy barns to meet our cows, heifers and calves.  Then, your birthday participants will experience milking one of our lovely ladies by hand.  Next, we will tour the barn and milk room to see how the milk moves from the cow to the cooler before we head back to the learning center to continue with your birthday celebration!

Hayride and Sleigh ride Prices

Add a hayride or a sleigh ride (weather permitting) for an additional $100 per hour.   Our hay wagon will hold up to 15 kids and 4 adults; our sleigh will hold up to 15 kids and 2 adults.

Party Prices

Members of Stonewall Farm:  $150 (up to 15 kids)  Learn about memberships!

Non-members:  $180 (up to 15 kids)

Guests are welcome to tour the farms grounds and animal barns.This event price covers a two hour rental of birthday party space. Educational programs can be added for an additional cost. Walpole Creamery Ice Cream made with milk from Stonewall Farm is available for purchase at an additional cost.
